Your help can make a big difference to young lives. Each team will be tasked with raising over £4k for The Mitchemp Trust, a charity which works tirelessly to help give young people the hope, confidence and life skills to meet the challenges in their lives through a journey of experience, adventure and fun.

The race takes place on the weekend of 8-9 September 2012 amidst the rugged terrain and wild beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Teams of a maximum of 6 (including support crew) will cycle, canoe and hike over 60 miles in 24 hours from east coast to west coast Scotland, in an effort to be crowned winner of the Invesco Perpetual Highland Adventure Race 2012.

The race is a team event, made up of around 50 teams each with a maximum of 6 members (including support crew). Support crew can choose to participate but only as long as no more than 5 participants complete each stage. The race participants will stick together throughout the race – the clock only stops once everyone in your team has completed each stage. The support crew will drive the team and their equipment around the event, navigate, set up camp and keep the food and water flowing.
